ICUs care for the sickest, most complex patients in the hospital. According to the LCME, just under 50% of medical students have a required rotation in the ICU. Many medical students feel intimidated by and underprepared for the ICU given limited medical school curriculum addressing caring for critical ill patients. We created the ZSOM Crit Care Series to make time in the ICU less intimidating for MS3s, MS4s, PAs and any other trainees in the ICU setting.
